Kenya 2020

We are delighted to be working in partnership with Camps International in offering students in our Classes of 2020, 2021 and 2022 the opportunity to join us on a 4-week expedition to Kenya. During this time they can also qualify for their PADI Open Water Diving Certificate

Q: Who are Camps International?

Magna Academy has chosen Camps International because they are global leaders in ethical and sustainable school expeditions. They offer fully supported life-enhancing school expeditions across Africa, Asia, South and Central America.

Camps International provide an authentic cultural experience for every student who travels. The expeditions challenge their view of the world, their understanding of day to day challenges rural communities face, such as access to clean water, education and housing. It also enhances the student’s self-worth and appreciation of the impact one person can have on the world. Fundraising for your expedition.

This all-inclusive expedition costs £4,070 which is protected by ATOL (6608) and can be paid via manageable payment plans to facilitate fundraising activities and financial management. The fundraising support team at Camps International will be on hand throughout the lead up to your expedition, offering a huge amount of support, endless ideas and continual encouragement.

Students can raise a significant proportion (if not all) of the funds for their expedition.

Q: How do we go about fundraising?

There are many and various ways in which you can go about raising funds for a trip like this and they shouldn't interfere with your study time - which is, of course, of greatest importance. We have a large school community we can get behind you and many local businesses who might provide some corporate sponsorship. Our local community can also be asked to support you.
