Please remember if you take part in one of these experiences please complete your My Google Form with brief feedback about what you did and how you benefitted from the experience.

If you take part in a Live Subject Session or attend an Open Day please record this on your My Google Form so we can build up a Futures Profile for you. With a Futures Profile, we will be able to ensure you know about great opportunities in future careers that you are interested in and will be able to support you in building your CV and personal statement.

BUSINESS AND MANAGEMENT	University of Wales	14 January Carmarthen Business School offers a selection of progressive undergraduate and postgraduate courses, in Business and Management related subjects, which are underpinned by an ethical, sustainable and profitable approach to business.
COMPUTER SCIENCE	Warwick University	10 February What's it like to study Computer Science? In this session, a Warwick student will share their first hand experiences of studying in our highly rated Computer Science department.
ENGINEERING	Warwick University	24 February Are you interested in studying an Engineering degree? In this interactive session, a student will share their first hand experiences of life in the School of Engineering at Warwick.
ANTHROPOLOGY	University of Roehampton	15 January, 4:30-5:30pm Come along to our Live Taster Session taking place on 15 December 2020 at 17:30 and get a taste for what it would be like to study our Anthropology and Social Anthropology degree. Anthropology at Roehampton covers classic themes of both social anthropology (such as kinship, witchcraft, cannibalism and indigenous cosmologies) and biological anthropology (including human ecology and adaption, primate biology and behaviour, and human evolution).
MEDICAL ENGINEERING	Swansea University	19 January, 3:00pm The first coronavirus vaccine 'smart patch' is being developed at Swansea University. The disposable device uses micro-needles to both administer the vaccine and monitor its efficacy by measuring the body's immune response. Part of the global response to the pandemic it is also hoped it can be used to treat other infectious diseases. A prototype will be developed by the end of March in the hope it can be put forward for clinical trials. In this session, Dr Sanjiv Sharma will explain the scientific principles behind the revolutionary smart patches, their application and impact, and next steps. There will also be opportunity for Q&A.
LIBERAL ARTS AND SOCIAL SCIENCES	Westminster University	21 January, 2:00-3:30pm Lies and Fake News. Language, Power and Trump Join Dr Sylvia Shaw and Dr Heather Pagan to learn about Fake News; a free taster session for sixth form, L3 and Access students. Perfect for those interested in studying English or Linguistics.
