Lights, Camera and Action
A group of Year 8 students have been invited by Bournemouth University to take part in their Empowering Women course which will be taking place at various dates over the next 5 months. During the course our students will work with university students and local business people to learn about different careers and to develop important skills required in the workplace.
During their day in Bournemouth University’s media department, students built on their communication skills and confidence when taking turns both behind and in front of the camera in their TV studio. Students also learnt about the number of different roles involved in putting a television programme together appreciating the importance of being able to work as a member of a team when working in media.
