On Tuesday 19th March, 22 of Magna’s finest Sports Leaders and Sports Captains took part in the first ever Level 2 Sports Leadership Award with Mr Law.
Students from Year 7 up to Year 12 undertook leadership training, including the qualities of a successful leader and how to lead fun, engaging activities safely. Josh B (Year 12) also led an excellent basic first aid session for students.
To complete the award, students will be expected to lead warm-ups or activities over the summer term, this can either be in school PE lessons or at an after school sports activity. Well done to all students who took part in the training.
Sports Leaders will have the opportunity to lead sporting events in the summer term, such as at Haymoor Junior School sports day and the Poole and East Dorset Town Sports.
