We provide opportunities for all students to develop their aspirations, their confidence and realise their capabilities.
This is something we are passionate about and is delivered first and foremost through our ambitious and well-balanced curriculum. Those that excel beyond this are identified and stretched further through our carefully planned ‘most able’ provision.
We use a range of methods to identify individuals excelling in their studies and monitor their academic journey through the academy closely.
This allows us to grow individual talent and to recognise those who flourish during their time at the academy. Each subject has a set of criteria which are used to highlight individuals who have shown exceptional capabilities in that area.
Aspirational targets are used to ensure students are offered achievable and aspirational success with the support of their teachers.
All students are given the opportunity to engage in a range of activities targeted to ensure they are challenged further.
Additional areas used to stretch the most able as they progress through the academy with leadership positions within Student Voice, completion of the Higher Project Qualification and targeted support with future pathways.
