Background and Experience
I was born in West Sussex and have always had a strong love of learning, particularly in mathematics. After completing my A levels, I studied at Oxford Brookes University, where I gained a BSc in Psychology and Statistics, before completing a PGCE and qualifying as a mathematics teacher.
While developing my skills as a mathematics teacher, I became increasingly interested in the additional support required for students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Since 2006, I have been directly involved in supporting young people with SEND. As a SENCO, I was committed to raising the profile of SEND, developing staff expertise to meet diverse needs in the classroom, and strengthening inclusive provision. I strongly believe in an inclusive education system in which all young people are empowered and encouraged to play an active role in their school community.
I joined Magna Academy in April 2020 as Assistant Principal for Inclusion. I am passionate about ensuring high-quality, inclusive education for all students and am proud to have contributed to the development of the Phoenix Centre, which provides targeted support to help every student achieve high standards and fulfil their potential.
As Vice Principal at Magna Academy I bring a clear focus on high standards, inclusive leadership, and continuous improvement. I am committed to ensuring that all students, regardless of need, receive consistently high-quality teaching and support.

My Favourite Educational Quote
