Background and Experience

I worked at Thomas Hardye School from 2001 as a Mathematics teacher and, from 2006, I have been directly involved with supporting young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). As a SENCO I aim to raise the profile of SEND, increase staff expertise in how to meet SEND need in the classroom and develop provision. I believe in an inclusive education where all young people are empowered and encouraged to be an active part of their school.

Three Personal Values

  • Education is for everyone
  • Quality-first teaching
  • Celebrate positives and achievements to build confidence and self-esteem

My Favourite Educational Quote
“Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid’
Albert Einstein
